Come Nourish Your Soul

Each Sunday at noon, the hour of recommitment, we worship God in a small community that is feminist, inclusive, loving, and joyful. We have returned from exile, we are liberated from bondage, we are forgiven. Together we seek to share the love of Christ that reconciles all God's creatures; every day we show up in our communities as God's hands and feet, as the only Jesus some people will ever meet, the only Bible some people will ever read.

In worship we listen to each other's joys and concerns, pray together, sing our praise, and refuel ourselves for our weekday ministries. The service is interactive and often includes a community conversation about spiritual living and/or how art and music affects our souls.

In preaching, Pastor Melinda, Tom, and all guest preachers seek to bring the Good News of God's love into conversation with ancient spiritual texts, poetry, art, and the challenges of daily living. Curious? Check out our podcast to hear previous sermons or subscribe to our weekly devotional to catch a glimpse of our way of engaging spiritual conversation through preaching.

Our music is diverse and chosen to inspire. We draw from many wells and traditions to blend together an experience that both comforts and stretches us musically. On any given Sunday, we might include contemplative chant, gospel, classical music, Broadway songs, traditional hymns, world music, or something from the Beatles. We often use handchimes so that everyone can participate - even if you don't think you can sing!

We offer holy communion to all who seek the body of Christ on the first Sunday of each month during the worship service and at other occasions when the Spirit leads. Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey, join us!

Come, eat! Supper's ready. Welcome home. We love you! Every Sunday service is followed by a feast we call La Mesa. Bring food as you are able.

In worship, and in personal relationship, we find spiritual grounding, connections to community, and new slants on sacred texts; all these will sustain us through the week ahead.
